There's that ... or it could simply have been that the other songs got more nomination votes this time. Since there isn't as huge a number of nominations as one could assume, sometimes tipping the balance is easy. In a way I am somewhat relieved that A Thousand Ships isn't on, this time. I admit to being a bit sad that it never won cuz I feel it *is* a great song, but then I also felt that people were getting really tired of hearing it at the Pegasus concert, and ... well ... *shrug* I really don't want to win just cuz at some point folks would think "gah, let's get it off the ballot and make it win already". The ebbs and flows of popularity, filker-du-jour and song-liking of the community are very hard to judge *g* :) Ship of Stone is a wonderful song, though!
